Today's riding lesson was soo uber-fun. But the fun only started after the lesson ended.
Cos today was so unbelievably hot, and the poor horses [I rode Addison] were blowing like crazy, so Daniel let us [meaning me on Addison + Aaron on Philip + Luke on Watercolours] take them into the trails to cool them off. So we went, and I was infront, cos Addison's very forward-going.
Then I realised that because of construction they chopped off like 5/6 off the trail and left us with like a miserable figure-8. So we went up the
steep slope, which is a new addition. And Addison started trotting half-way up even though I didn't want him to do that since I was afraid he's lose balance and slide back and
kana the horses behind.
But anyways. So we made it up the slope. Yepp. And I was still infront. Then there was this really steepER slope DOWN, no kidding. It was like so steep you could barely see where it lead. Serious. So I didn't go any further cos there was like some construction site, and I let Luke take the lead. So he went, and Aaron and I followed.
And then guess what, it lead to the old trail!! Okayy, that probably wouldn't make sense for those ppl who haven't been to SPC. Here's how it sorta is : (_beginning figure8_) ____steep slope up/down____ (_____OLD trail______) So the beginning figure 8 and the old trail used to be connected, but the constrution got in the way and so now you have to access it by the slope instead. Yepp.
But anyways, then I saw Luke cantering back UP the sloope, and I was like
WHAT THE HECK?! cos its kinda dangerous. And he didn't stop there, he GALLOPED on the SLOPE on WATERCOLOURS [who isnt a very reliable horse]. Pei-fu, man...
So, obviously we got out, and we did it at canter/trot. Which was fun, but I was a little uncertain, but Addison seemed to enjoy it so I was whatever, just do it.
I haven't bbeen uncertain in a long time.
It felt good. =D
And that concludes my longest post yet.
