July 2nd [Sat]
Went for a new chinese tuition today and saw Ren Jean there. What a coincidence. It was kinda really boring, to tell the truth, but whatever.
Then at riding, Daniel called me and Amanda out of the lesson after we finished our canter, cos Channel U wanted to film, and he wanted them to film us [don't ask me why us, I've been wondering the same thing.] Yes. So we had to stand there looking totally constipated while pretending to groom Johnny while the camera guy loomed with his fancy camera equiptment stuff. And Johnny got scared of the camera.
Then later the camera guy wanted to interview us. He's like:
"Can we ask you a few questions?"
And I'm like, "Erh, I suppose."
"Can you speak in chinese, cos this is for a chinese channel and it would be better."
"Chinese?! No way. I do not speak chinese."
And this continued [with Amanda, duh] and some slight variations. The bottom line is, we didn't get interviewed cos we refused to get laughed at on national TV because of our less-than-desirable chinese. So he said we'd "got a lucky break" and went to interview these 3 like beginner riders who were willing to show off their kindergarten chinese and didn't answer the question. But whatever. Better them than us. Now if it were Channel News Asia...
Yes. I think they probably couldn't find anything else newsworthy to fill up their programme so they decided to come to the club as like, a last resort. How totally pathetic. No more chopped up bodies, neh?
PS: The thing is airing 11pm tonight on Channel U [SCV Channel 09] , if anyone cares to watch.
